Located in the Italian Food Street area of Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci Airport, the Bistro by Mastercard merges authentic Italian culinary tradition with state-of-the-art technology to create a seamless, cashless restaurant experience. This project introduces travelers to a new standard of convenience, blending gastronomy, entertainment, and real-time information in a single, intuitive interface.

Innovative Dining and Cashless Technology
At the core of the project is the Interactive Priceless Touch Table, a custom-developed platform transforming downtime into an engaging experience. Passengers can browse menus, discover stories behind the dishes, view chef profiles, and watch immersive videos about regional food culture—all directly from the tabletop interface. The system also provides real-time updates on flight status, gate changes, and weather conditions at the destination, making it a powerful tool for both entertainment and practical travel management. Payments are handled entirely in cashless mode via contactless technology, allowing users to pay instantly for their meals or even purchase items from partner restaurants.

Technical Development and Integration
Developed entirely in Unity3D in collaboration with 101 Percent and Bitwave, the Priceless Table integrates a range of external services including secure contactless payments, live content feeds, and real-time flight information. This architecture ensures a seamless blend of multimedia content and transactional functionality. The platform was designed to handle multiple data streams—menus, videos, offers, and brand experiences—updated dynamically every time the table rotates, ensuring passengers always have fresh content.

Dynamic User Interface and Multi-User Interaction
The dynamic user interface adapts in real time, presenting tailored information for up to four simultaneous users. Each diner can interact independently—browsing, selecting, and purchasing items—while the system intelligently synchronizes shared elements such as flight data and environmental updates.
